While we are excited to be open again, we are nervous. We don't know
going to go. We don't know what to expect. We are one of the most
social businesses around. We greet people with smiles, handshakes and
hugs. There is the sharing of bowling balls, bowling shoes (that we
have always disinfected after each use!) and we are in close proximity
to each other. We high five each other after good shots.
With all of this in mind, we have new protocols that we are all
learning and have to get used to. Just because we've been closed for 2
months doesn't mean we've forgotten how to do our job, we are just
learning to do it a little differently now. Please be patient. Be kind.
Old routines and habits are hard to break, for anyone.
Being rude to us will not make things happen faster nor will it help to
improve the current situation. Making snide comments to us about
changes we've had to implement will not help either. Whatever side of
the fence you are on in regards to Covid, we have all been affected in
some way. We still want to give you a fun afternoon away from "real
life" and we are going to do our best to make that happen. We just ask
for your understanding and patience while we are having to adjust.
bowling will resume on Monday, June 1st. Summer hours are
being implemented and for the month of June will be as follows (and
please keep in mind, as always they can change with little to no notice
so always call ahead to verify): Mondays: 4pm-8pm Tuesdays: Noon-4pm
with all bowling done by 5pm. We have a fall league that will be
finishing their season on Tuesday nights for a few weeks, so we need to
have the time in between to reoil and sanitize the area. When they are
done with their season, we will start up our Tuesday night summer
league. Wednesdays: 11am - 3pm Thursdays: 4pm-8pm.
We have a fall league that will be finishing their season on Thursday
nights for a few weeks and then a summer league beginning when they are
done, so lane availability will be limited. Fridays: Noon-4pm Saturdays &
Sundays: Schedules will vary each week and will be
determined by how many teams we have throughout the day for our annual
Team Tournament. We will not have the Sunday Night Buck Bowl. We will
be closing no later than 6pm on Sunday evenings.
We ask that when you come in, you please respect our decisions as a
business to do what we feel is best for both our staff and customers.
If there is a line to the counter, please look for the blue "x's" on
the floor and stay by them until we call you up. We have a unique setup
here as this building was not originally built for a bowling center,
but converted from factories. We have space limitations so we have to
get creative when it comes to the "x's."
All open bowling will be put
out by the hour, unless you have a Groupon to use (for anyone who had a
Groupon that expired between March 16th - May 31st, we will honor your
Groupon in full). This will help us to keep track of when everyone will
be done so we can time out our cleaning of the lanes before we assign
the next guests.
Any group with 6 or less people will be assigned to only one lane. If
we assign you to lane 1, then lane 2 will remain open/unused while you
bowl. Please do not sit on the chairs on that lane as we will then be
assigning people to lane 3 and so on. We are doing this to help
maintain the 6 feet distancing guideline. Any group with 7 or more will
automatically be assigned to two lanes. We will leave an open lane on
either side of you for the above purpose. Please work
with each other to keep your group in your assigned area only.
We have never been a center to take reservations for open bowling, it's
always first come, first served. We are going to try and stay with this
policy for now. However, if we start to encounter problems, then we
will go to reservations only.
We have limited seating now. We have removed several bar stools from
the bar itself plus from the concourse area. We have chairs marked off
in the settee area so they are not to be used. Please bring only those
who plan to bowl with you. While we never want to tell you not to bring
other guests/spectators, we need to limit the number of people in the
building for the time being. Please do not move the bar stools from the
area we have them and please do not remove the tape from the "x'd" off
chairs. They are like this for a reason.
You will be asked to please sanitize/wash your hands PRIOR to searching
for a bowling ball to use. The 6 and 7 pounders will continue to be
kept behind the counter. We will offer those to guests who have young
children. There will be sanitizer at the control counter as well as
bottles on each pair of lanes. Those bottles are to remain there.
Please use only as necessary as not to waste it. That stuff is
expensive! When you are done bowling, you are to leave the house balls
on the ball return. DO NOT put any bowling ball you touched/used back
on the rack. Please DO NOT just continue to take bowling balls off the
rack "just because." A staff member will be coming out to sanitize them
along with the entire bowlers area once you have vacated the lane(s).
Bowling shoes are to be returned to the control counter by lane #1.
We will not require masks, but they are appreciated. Everyone needs to
make their own decision on those and everyone needs to respect each
individuals feelings and choice on the mask debate. Want to wear one?
Great! Don't want to wear one? Fine! You do what you feel is best for
However, if you are wanting to come in to bowl and you are feeling ill
or someone in your family is ill, please stay home. Do not come in. We
will still be here for you to bowl when you and/or others in your party
are feeling better.
Any drinks ordered from the bar will be served in single use plastic
cups and customers will receive a new cup each time they order. The
only exception to the plastic cup rule is for anyone who orders a tap
beer. Those will still be served in a chilled glass. However, they too
will receive a new glass each time. All drinks will be given to you
with a wrapped straw if you want one. You will put your own straw in
your drink now.
Any food cooked/served here at T&C will be done so by an
employee who will be wearing a mask and gloves. If you wish to add
salt/pepper to your food, please ask us for the shakers. They will no
longer be out for self serve. Please only order any sauces you plan to
use. Unopened/unused packets/cups will have to be thrown away and that
is just wasteful and we hate to see that.
Again, we will be working through all of our new guidelines and this
will be trial/error for everyone involved, customers included. If we
can help each other, we can
make this work.
