Laughs...tears...and your generosity...it was all there en masse on 8/20/17.
Although this was not the biggest fundraiser (in bowler count) Towne & Country Lanes has hosted in its 46 years as a family-owned business, it was by far, the most successful in generosity.

With some side ventures still in play (see below for those details), the preliminary total raised by YOU, Dustin Appenzeller's friends, family, and well-wishers cracked the $10,000 mark. And think of this for a moment.. all of this happened after that catastrophic flood last month. Some folks are STILL trying to clean up and recover from that. Some area farmers suffered severe crop damage to which they will not recover from this growing season.

The beauty of Burlington is that most everyone has "got your back". They will come to your rescue, no questions asked. They did that a month ago. They also did that for Dustin.

On behalf of Dustin, his immediate & extended family, and all his friends & caretakers... THANK YOU.

Show your support for Team Dustin by purchasing this T-shirt.
Cost is $10 to $15 per shirt (depending on size). Sizes are Youth S-M-L-XL, and Adult S-M-L-XL-2XL-3XL-4XL-5XL.
Shirt orders will need to be shipped to your home. Shipping charges may apply.

To place shirt orders: please place orders at this online store (new screen).
Special thanks to Ken Reynolds & Overwear Apparel Group, LLC for their help.

Additionally... three more ways you can still help.

(1)
Kim Zink (Dustin's second cousin) runs an Avon e-store. Kim has generously announced she will donate 40% of online sales to Dustin's family!
Pick up some beauty items (AND get free shipping to your front door with orders totalling $40 or more)!
Click here (new screen) to visit Kim's Online Avon store.

(2)

Theresa Riemer (T&C's General Manager) has set up a That's What Friends R4 Pampered Chef Online Catalog Party from now until August 28th.
Order through her party page and her consultant will donate a portion of her commission to Team Dustin.

Ordering in person? Deadline is August 25th for paper orders.
Ordering online? View the page here (new screen). Deadline for online ordering is August 28th.

Finally, cash donations are still being accepted at Educators Credit Union in Burlington.
Simply go to the Burlington branch, mention Brian & Mary Appenzeller, and say you wish to make a donation to the Dustin Appenzeller Benefit Account.
Please contact Educators directly if you wish to send in a check for that account, and they will help you from there.

All proceeds from this benefit will be put into an account set up for Dustin at Educator's Credit Union in Burlington. His family will use it to help cover the mounting medical bills.
Dustin and Angela have also asked that 10% of the total proceeds be donated in his name to Just Live, Inc., a suicide prevention group out of the New Munster/Wheatland area.

You are invited to join us as we help raise funds for team "Running for Lenny."

When: Sunday, September 17th at 1:00 PM Sharp (Registration from 12 Noon to 12:45 PM)

Monies raised from this event will go to the American Brain Tumor Association and Team Breakthrough.

Nikkole Quade lost her dad Lenny Smith, to Glioblastoma, which is a type of brain tumor. He was diagnosed on December 4th, 2011 with terminal stage 4 glioblastoma multiform. The tumor spread very rapidly and Lenny lost his battle on March 22, 2012. Nikkole and her oldest son Nathan are participating in the Chicago Marathon on October 8th. In order to run, they each have to raise a minimum of $1,000. We're here to help Nikkole and Nathan acheive that goal so they can be there with the rest of their running group in October.

This is Nikkole's 2nd year with the ABTA, her 4th Chicago Marathon and this is Nathan's first marathon. As with all of our fundraisers, there will be raffles, silent auctions to bid on, music and fun.

Cost: $20.00 per person and includes 3 games of 9-Pin bowling and shoe rental.

We're hoping to fill all 18 lanes. There is a max of 6 people per lane allowed. Adults and older teens only, please.
